Can this unit be installed in an outdoor setting like a roofed over/covered patio?
Is there a propane version? Does a remote come with it? Is the flame adjustable?
Yes, you may order this unit ready for propane but, the remote control must be ordered separately. We offer a basic on/off, an on/off thermostat, and a touchscreen programmable on/off thermostat remote for it. Yes, there is a hi/lo knob on the fireplace for manual flame height adjustment.
Is a remote easily installed?
It's quite simple to wire a remote to this fireplace. In the lower control cavity, you will find a red and green wire capped together laying on the bottom metal pan of the firebox. You simply uncap the wires and connect these wires to the two black wire leads from any millivolt/24v compatible remote receiver. You can also remove the black wires from most remote receivers and wire the red and green wires to the same terminal locations on the receiver where the black wires were removed to avoid any potential splicing of wires.
Does this fireplace have a blower? Does the pilot stay on all the time?
