Can this unit be installed in an outdoor setting like a roofed over/covered patio?
Is a remote easily installed?
It's quite simple to wire a remote to this fireplace. In the lower control cavity, you will find a red and green wire capped together laying on the bottom metal pan of the firebox. You simply uncap the wires and connect these wires to the two black wire leads from any millivolt/24v compatible remote receiver. You can also remove the black wires from most remote receivers and wire the red and green wires to the same terminal locations on the receiver where the black wires were removed to avoid any potential splicing of wires.
