I need to vent my Superior DRT-3035 fireplace up through a chimney of a two story house that is approximately 30 feet. I also need a termination kit for this. Could you help me?

Can you use this SecureFlex compressed flex vent pipe with the opening to the fireplace insert and the termination cap? I have a Superior DRT2040 insert that is being placed in my living room. At the location where it is being placed there is a beam that obstructs the pipe in my attic. I will have to move the pipe over to get away from that beam. My husband also wants to make a horizontal run of 8 feet to get it on the back side of my roof for aesthetic reasons. That would mean that I need to shift the pipe over about a foot before sending it into the ceiling. Once in the ceiling I will need to make a horizontal run of 8 feet and then a vertical run of 2 feet to go through the roof. Would rigid pipe or flex pipe be better? Does the flex pipe lock into the fireplace connection and the terminal cap connection the same as the rigid pipe?

The flex pipe is connected to both the fireplace and termination cap by use of an adapter which is included with the flex kit. A system of gear clamps and self tapping screws ensures that the venting does not detach at a later date. Additionally, a high temperature mil-pac sealant should be used at any joints within the vent system to ensure that there are no leaks. With the obstructions in place, the use of the flexible components makes the final installation much easier as the liners can be cut to the exact length needed, as well as offsets are much easier to be made. The flexible liners do not limit you to certain lengths or angles which you would encounter with the rigid components. Before purchase, I would recommend double checking the planned run of the venting to ensure that it meets the requirements of the fireplace. If the vent guidelines are not followed, you can encounter poor performance from the fireplace overall.
