This is the vent-free firebox only. The BTU output would be associated with the log set that is installed into this firebox.

Can the louvers be removed from this model? Can you replace the screens with glass on all 3 sides of this model?

You cannot remove the louvers, but you can purchase the Empire 36 Inch Breckenridge Premium Vent Free Flush Front Peninsula Gas Firebox with smooth front instead. Glass sides/front is not an option for vent free fireplaces as they must draw air from the room to operate.

Can you use a fresh air kit with this model?

No, there is no fresh air kit available for this model, as one is not required for installation/operation. Please note, this box does not include a burner or log set, which must be purchased separately.

Which set of logs work best with the Empire Breckenridge Premium Vent-Free Peninsula Gas Firebox with Louvers - 36" - VFP-36PB2E-L. Which Blower should be used?

The FBB5 is the listed blower for this firebox, but any see-through ventless gas log set with minimum opening requirements that correspond to the inner firebox measurements of the product in question would work. Empire suggests any of their 18", 24" or 30" see-through ventless gas log sets.
