Can the faceplate be trimmed to size?
Due to the outer finishing trim around the outside of the surround panel, this surround is not designed to be trimmed to fit and still utilize the finishing trim pieces. However, field modification of the panel and finishing trim can be done by a skilled professional.

Efficient Insert
This insert has worked exactly like we wanted. It’s used little wood and given out so much heat. The blower has worked well. We normally use so much wood and have used 75% less. The decorative pieces came later but the company shipped them right away. This stove was the best value for the money and output.

Good stove
Just installed it into a fireplace and have been happy with it so far. It heats up fast and holds heat for a long time. The only complaints I have is the stove doesn't draw air well while getting the fire started. I have to prop the door open for about 15 minutes while it gets started. The second complaint is the chimney liner didn't come with screws to connect it to the tie downs on the top of the stove. I had to pick up a pack of stainless steel machine screws and some high temp silicone sealant to connect the liner. Overall, I would recommend the kit and would buy another if I had another place to install it.
