The Drolet Escape 1500-I Wood Burning Insert Kit packs everything you'll need to install your wood-burning insert into a single convenient kit. The kit features a Drolet Escape 1500-I Wood Burning Insert that features a blower, ash drawer, air damper, and a ceramic glass viewing door that allows you to see the flames during operation. Alongside the insert, the kit also includes a stainless steel liner, connector, top plate, and chimney cap, as well as a long faceplate that provides both protection and style to the assembled kit.
Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 6" inner diameter.

How do you clean the flue on an insert to prevent a chimney fire? They seem a little flimsy.
We recommend hiring a professional chimney sweep to clean the stainless steel liner for a woodburning insert. Depending on frequency of use, this may need to be done annually. You can find a chimney sweep in your area here.

Drolet Escape 1500-I Wood Burning Fireplace.
Ensure you have the correct fireplace measurements before purchase. Installation took me a full day with two men. One person will be unable to complete it. Instead of the rear metal legs, I used stepping stones aligned with the hearth. The 25-foot-long flexible stainless-steel liner was very easy to insert in the chimney flute and was plenty long. Only required 14 feet. However, due to my tight fit, connection to the stove was difficult; if you do not have the technical skill set to install it, I recommend hiring a professional.
Pros
The Wood Stove works great and heats well. The flexible liner is easy to insert into the existing flute.
Cons
The chimney liner was difficult to connect to the stove due to the tight fit. The fan contact switch does not work since the stove is painted, so I was forced to disconnect and rewire it.
