Can I replace the wall switch with this?
In some cases, this can be done, but this will depend on the model of your fireplace/insert/log set and whether you have a remote-ready valve.

I recommend confirming the battery voltage in both the remote and receiver. If this is not the case, you should check the polarity of the batteries to ensure this is not the issue. If not, check to make sure the wiring coming from the receiver to the stove is secure and then attempting to turn the fireplace on with the receiver slide switch. You should also check for any corrosion in the receiver's battery compartment. If nothing works, I recommend contacting SkyTech directly at 855-498-8324.

How do I change this remote from Centigrade to Fahrenheit?
In order to change between the two, you must depress and hold the on and off keys on the remote at the same time. This will allow you to toggle between each temperature scale.
