If a spark falls on the cream color, will it burn and leave a mark or is the mat made of material that doesn’t burn?

The spark will create a singed area on this rug. This rug is fire-resistant, however, it is not fire-proof.

Very Pleased
My husband and I recently purchased a woodstove for our living room which sits on a brick hearth. We wanted a little added protection for the carpet in front of the hearth and decided on a hearth rug. I was a little apprehensive of the "oriental" description, since our living room is more "country", but the rug had all the right colors and I went ahead and ordered it. I was surprised at how light it was, very easy to clean, and how nice it looked in front of the hearth. The colors are subtle, and I personally wouldn't describe it as "oriental". It really adds a nice touch, and peace of mind as well.
