Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 8" inner diameter.

If I install a Majestic Sovereign wood burning fireplace and put in gas logs, can they be removed and use the fireplace as a wood burner again?
Yes. If you decide to remove the gas log set, you can attach a log lighter to assist lighting your wood burning fires, or cap off the gas line in the firebox.

No, that unit is not an EPA approved unit. EPA approved units have to have a sealed door.

I just installed one of these in my living room and I'm very happy with it. It looks really nice and it throws out a lot of heat. It also seems to be well made and it was easy to assemble. I would highly recommend this fireplace.

Excellent quality wood burning heat circulating with optional blower fan no speed control
Very satisfied with this fireplace as it replaced a 36 inch 34 year old Marco we had, Marco went out of business so we tried Majestic. Bi fold doors are well made and it looks great! Circulates heat in our family room and the blower is very quiet as it only has 1 speed but does the job! Installed an entire new chimney pipe and termination cap all stainless steel and we already had a stainless chimney chase cover. This should last us a lifetime!
