I purchased a Majestic gas fireplace in the late 1990s. Worked great for many years and have had someone clean it periodically. The flame still looks great but the exhaust vent creates heavy soot on my siding and sophet. Is it time for a new unit or can the flame be adjusted to burn cleaner?
It may be the unit needs cleaning and servicing, or it very well could be some parts are no longer working as they should. With a unit that old some may not be available any longer. So it might be time to replace the unit.
I am looking for a vent pipe termination cap for an older model Majestic wood-burning fireplace (models M36, MD36, MD36R, MD36L). It is a triple wall pipe approx. 13" outside diameter. The serial number is E037985. I also need a storm collar that would fit this pipe.
The cap can be found here and the storm collar can be found here.
