I'm a little confused as to how this should be installed. It locks into my Dura-vent pipe sections without an issue, but does not seem to lock at all onto the actual fireplace (GD70NT-2S). Actually, the fit is quite loose. How should this be secured to
The adapter can indeed be loose fitting on some of the Napoleon fireplaces. It is always recommended to use a thick bead of direct vent piping sealant or furnace cement on the inner exhaust outlet of the adapter. Once seated, you can then use sheet metal screws to secure the adapter to the outer collar on the top of the appliance.
