Nothing says America quite like American Oak, and nothing is more representative of the American home than Real Fyre American Oak Gas Logs by Peterson. Keeping true to the beautiful tree they are modeled after, American Oak Gas logs feature realistic bark details and look like oak logs with chips cut off during chopping. And, also like the oak tree, these logs are incredibly strong and durable thanks to the sturdy construction, high-quality materials, and superior craftsmanship present in all Peterson Real Fyre products. To turn your home into an American classic, try dressing up your fireplace with this beautiful set of Real Fyre American Oak Gas Logs by Peterson.

The Real Fyre G45 Glowing Ember Stainless Steel Burner creates dancing flames and a maximum glowing ember effect. With this cutting edge Outdoor G45 burner, you will enjoy a beautiful outdoor fireplace with dancing flames and glowing embers. Dazzle your family and friends with a beautiful set of fireplace logs in your outdoor fireplace! You'll enjoy many hours and memories gathering around the fire.

This is a vented gas log set that must be installed in a fully vented wood burning fireplace. With vented gas logs, you'll enjoy a large, realistic-looking flame that operates with an open chimney flue, or damper. These logs, which simulate a wood-burning fire, are the most realistic type of gas logs but, just like real fires, lose some of the generated heat up the chimney. Vented gas log sets are the most popular type of gas logs sold. Professional installation is recommended.

Sets include handcrafted logs, custom grate, Real-Fyre Burner System, Granules (sand or vermiculite), Glowing Embers, grate clips/log locators, pan/connector kit and damper clamp.

This gas log set is a Match Light system and does not come with a pilot kit. The fire is lit using a long match or lighter while you turn on the manual gas valve either on the floor or in the wall. The flame height is then controlled by adjusting the key valve. If you do not have a valve currently, you will need to purchase either the AV-17 or the AV-18.

    Please Note:
    * This is a Natural Gas Logs Set. Please verify that you have the correct gas type.
    * The fireplace's Middle Width must be at least 29 Inches and the Depth must be at least 14 Inches for this gas log set to fit. You can calculate the middle width of your firebox by measuring the width (left to right) approximately half way back in the firebox. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service department and we will be happy to assist you in finding the perfect size gas log set.

What is the required depth of the hearth in front of gas logs like this? The building code says the hearth must meet manufacturers recommended specs.
    1 Answer
R.H. Peterson does not have a specific recommended hearth depth. The only requirements are that the hearth extension meet the requirements of the fireplace manufacturer. In the case of a masonry fireplace, it is standard to have at least a 12 inch hearth extension, but no specific number is listed by R.H. Peterson.

My fireplace depth is 21" front to back. How far from the front should the gas pipe come through the sidewall of the existing masonry wall? I have Real Fyre 24" outdoor natural gas logs match light.
    1 Answer
All of our Real Fyre gas log sets include a length of flexible gas line to accommodate multiple locations. Most common is to have the rigid gas line closer to the middle or back of the fireplace.

I had great guidance and advice from my salesperson.
So easy to order and delivery was prompt. I selected this particular unit from the knowledge of my salesperson. She would be unable to light the fireplace on her own due to arthritis and back pain. This unit works great. Simple to use, On or Off remote control. She was also elated on the overall appearance of the fire and the amount of heat ii emits. Warms the whole room. Great choice.

    Much Assembly Required
I like the way these gas logs and embers look; they are very realistic. The only down side is the assembly – it’s not as easy as I had hoped. Having some experience installing gas logs would help.
