A Must Have!
After installing the Majestic Oak Fireplace, we added the sand and embers. These finishing touches gives the whole set a complete look that reflects of ashes and when lit the appearance of charcoal burning embers for realism.
Pros
Provides the appears of a real fireplace.
Cons
Must be conscious in the placement and ensure most materials are toward the front and under the logs evenly or they give an imbalanced effect, which makes the set look like it is not burning evenly. Sand can get everywhere while accomplishing the addition.

plenty of sand for a 24" log set
One bag of sand was more than enough (24" log set). The quantities are great for my fireplace.
