Most firebacks seem to be 304, 14 gauge stainless steel, but this is only 20 guage. Can I use it in a closed, vented gas log fireplace? and will it last?
More heavy duty construction is required for use in fireplaces burning wood, but this fireback is rated only for gas logs, so yes, it can be used in the method you describe.
