I am installing a wood stove and chimney which will go through a ceiling and a roof. I currently have many sections of standard metal single 6" inch pipe, stainless double wall pipe(6" inside 8"outside) and triple wall (6"inside 10" outside). I am trying to figure out which parts to buy to make this happen. I know i need the box at the ceiling but not sure which one to use, which pipe that I have goes through it? Also at the roof level? My thought is the thin single pipe up to the box, then connect the triple wall stuff in the attic and run up through the roof? Any help in ordering would be appreciated.

Answer:
You are correct about the ceiling support box. If you have a flat ceiling in a relatively short room (8' - 9' ceiling), I'd recommend our round ceiling support box. A taller, cathedral ceiling would require a cathedral ceiling support box. Please follow each link below to view these. These links illustrate the support boxes for the triple-wall DuraPlus chimney. If you opt to use the double-wall DuraTech, we'll have to use DuraTech specific support boxes.

In either case, you will also need a slip connector to connect the single wall stove pipe to the support box. The chimney pipe needs no adaptor as it will twist-lock right into the top side of the support box. After connecting to the support box, the chimney pipe will need to immediately pass through an attic insulation shield as it enters the attic space. Beyond that you will simply need a roof flashing and storm collar on top of the shingles and a cap to tie it all off. Your roof pitch will determine which flashing you'll use and how much chimney pipe you will need above the shingles.
