I purchased this item with the stove pipe.,Now I am looking for the chimney pieces to complete the hook up. I will only need a 3' double wall and low slope roof flashing with cap.

Answer:Thank you for your business. The DuraTech chimney pipe that is used with this box actually attaches to the top side of the collar at the bottom of the box. Thus it is likely that you will need a bit more than 3 feet, as that is the minimum required above your roof line, regardless of roof pitch. Please advise if a 4- or 5-foot pipe would be more suitable to accomplish this and I will proceed with the quote. I will look forward to your response.

Answer:To confirm the correct parts, please note that it would not be likely that only one 3" section of chimney would be enough chimney to establish the nationally accepted code requirement that the chimney must extend at least 3' above the highest point of your roof cutout, and then an additional 2' over any obstruction measured within 10' horizontally from this point. Please provide the vertical measurement from the bottom of the cathedral ceiling support to the interior roof decking. Additionally, please provide your roof pitch and the horizontal measurement from where the chimney will pass through the roof to the peak of the roof and we will be able to determine the correct lengths to send.

This item looks like it's for a flat ceiling, but the title says it's for a cathedral ceiling. The description also says it will work on either. Is this the best option for a flat ceiling, or is there another DuraTech square ceiling box made just for flat ceilings?

Unfortunately, there is no square box for flat ceilings, but there is this DuraTech 6" Round Ceiling Support
that you can use. You can indeed use the box, however, if you prefer.
