This chimney pipe from DuraTech contains two steel walls, with a layer of ceramic insulation that helps provide high temperatures on the inside, without causing dangerous heat on the exterior of the piping. This helps promote safety and efficiency when venting any type of heating appliance. This pipe comes in a 7 inch diameter that can easily connect to other piping with the simple twisting lock design, and 6 different lengths are available. I presently have 7" I.D. x 9"O.D stainless Security Chimney pipe (insulated). I need to extend my chimney 3'. Will this work?

Answer:
This pipe will not work for you. Each brand of chimney pipe features brand specific locking tabs at their connection points. As such, if you have Security pipe, you must stick with it. Unfortunately, we do not currently carry 7" chimney pipe in the Security line.
