i have this furnace (Empire wall furnace model dv55ip) and it had a power cord that i cant seem to find (it was a relatives) i was wondering if the 3 wires black white and green that are coming out of the metal box at the bottom are for power? they have a plastic connector that i think the old power cord connected to. (not sure) can i splice those wires if they are for power and run 12/2 directly to it instead of using a power cord?

Answer:
Those three wires are indeed for power. Hardwiring 12/2 from these wires to a power supply is a fine repair.
