If you are ready to vent your Tahoe gas fireplace, this kit gives you everything you need to do the job right. The horizontal top-vent kit is designed to be used as a through-wall installation with walls from 8 inches to 11 inches thick. The 9-inch pipe and 8-inch pipe extension are constructed of galvanized steel for durability. The kit also comes with a 90-degree elbow and a wall thimble as well as a high-wind horizontal cap.

The number of elbows/offsets that are permitted is dependent upon the requirements of the appliance you are venting. Within the installation instructions of your appliance, you will see what you can and cannot do with regard to offsets.

The pipe extension that is included with this kit can indeed be cut to the proper length for the horizontal run, before being connected to the termination.
