I have a Majestic 43BDVR that has damaged upper and lower louvres. Do you have any alternatives that I can use to replace the damaged ones I have? It appears to be 43".

Answer:Parts for this unit have indeed been discontinued. The 43BDVR was manufactured by the CFM Corporation, which owned Majestic up until 2008, when they declared bankruptcy. The product line was not picked up by the new owner of Majestic.
Unfortunately, we do not offer a louver assembly that is the correct size or configuration that could be used in place of the current assembly. My recommendation would be to take the current louvers to a local sheet metal fabricator to see if they can be repaired or new louvers made, using the current ones as a template. I apologize that we can no longer procure these parts.

My fireplace is a Majestic Vermont Castings model BHDT36RN. I am looking to update it with a stainless steel decorative face trim. Is there a universal product that will fit? Inside measure is 32 3/4" by 32 3/4".

Answer:Unfortunately, we do not offer a truly universal product that can be used to fit this unit. Upon searching, it would also appear that the manufacturer did not offer such an accessory for this unit. A few of our customers have had custom surrounds fabricated by local sheet metal shops or have cut down surrounds for other models.

I have bifold glass doors with brass trim. I would like to change the trim if possible to black. What are my options?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on July 22, 2013
Answer:Because the door rails are usually not sold separately from the glass, you will have only the options of painting the door rail or replacing the entire door assembly. Brass can be painted with high temperature paint, but time must be taken to rough up the surface of the rail and then wipe it down thoroughly.
If you would like to explore the option of replacing the doors, I will need to know the manufacturer name and model number of the fireplace. Please advise at your convenience.
