Customer Q&A with Product Specialists

Mona from Mississippi asked:
Can we cook on top of the FF-WP-300 if we find we need to?
Can we cook on top of the FF-WP-300 if we find we need to?
The FF-WP-300 (WoodPro 300) is a wood-burning stove. While many steel and cast iron wood stoves not specifically sold as cook stoves can still be used for cooking, we do not have the factory specifications to confirm if the FF-WP-300's stovetop is rated as a cooking surface. We recommend confirming this directly with Forge and Flame WoodPro consumer care before attempting to cook on it.Generally, if a wood stove is suitable for cooking, cast iron cookware is recommended, and using a trivet can help moderate heat. We have a guide that covers how to cook on a wood stove, including suitable cookware and safety tips: How to Cook on a Wood Stove. Please note that the only other Forge and Flame model we carry is the Forge and Flame 22 Inch FUZION-EX Multi-Sided Electric Heating Stove, which is an electric heater and not designed for cooking.
