Worth the price ... clean house!
eFireplaceStore ships quicker than the manufacturer, so I would've bought it here rather than at the manufacturer's site ... but had to leave a review somewhere! I've tried every trick in the book for getting ashes out of our stove, noting that we heat with wood so are heavy stove users. Superfine 'smoke-like' ashes would always settle on everything, even far away from the stove. Wow! What a difference this ash scoop makes! Being able to minimize the scoops, to close the scoop at the door of the stove so the natural draft sucks up smoke and ash without bringing it into the room is fantastic. Spend the money ... it works, works fantastically, and is a quality heavy-duty stainless steel unit. You won't look back!
Pros
Ashes are always contained in the stove, inside the scoop, or inside of the door where the chimney draft draws it in and sends it up the chimney! Hint: Leave a few coals burning in the back of the stove ... it's best if you scoop before the coals have entirely burned to ash.
Cons
None that I can think of. Fair price for such a quality product.
