I am afraid not. These coals are intended for a vented application only, as they can release harmful byproducts that must be allowed to escape to outside air.

I was unable to obtain an exact count from the manufacturer, but they did advise that the pieces are approximately 1/2 inch square and the average package appears to have approximately 30 pieces.

These ceramic coals are designed to fill out the area around the burner pan and offer an addition design element, however, they do not glow.
