Does the ember kit look like lit up embers?
No. This ember kit is a decorative accessory to accent the floor of the fireplace around a gas log set. It is not the glowing embers that look like hot coals beneath the logs, which comes with many models of gas log sets.

This decorative kit is only listed for use with select Empire gas fireplaces, including some vent-free appliances.

I didnt have a clue as to how these would work or look when I ordered our new fireplace logs. But when out technician came out to install the new logs and added these in, they are perfect! They add such great life like appearance to the new logs when burning. I would definitely order again.
