This log set is designed for use with several Empire vented and vent-free appliances. The burners that are installed in these appliances use a remote ready gas valve, allowing you to install a wall switch or remote control for operation.

This is just a log set that is intended for use with certain models of Empire fireplaces. The units that the logs work with have a burner assembly already installed.

These logs are manufactured out of high quality ceramic fibers and are indeed designed to last for many years. They are designed to be used with the glowing embers, provided with the manufacturer's fireplace, to give a glowing appearance.
