What are the dimensions of this kit? How do you install this kit?

The manufacturer does not provide the dimensions of this surround because it only suitable for use with the models listed in the item title (the Napoleon GD36NTR, B36DFN, BGD40N, BGNV40, BGNV36, GVF36, GVF40, and BGD36NTR fireplaces). As such, the directions for installing it are based on installation details for those specific models. This is not a universal surround.
