My remote displays in Celsius. How do you switch it to read in Fahrenheit?

When you first install the batteries, the temp indicator at the top of the screen will be flashing. Use the UP/DOWN keys to switch between °F or °C. This will require removing the batteries and reinstalling them.

The 125 CFM blower is "thermally activated", and battery backup appears to be for the millivolt ignition system. Will the blower activate at all during a power outage? Is the unit manufactured to operate safely without the blower during a power outage if the blower doesn't work?

The blower would not work in the event of a power outage, but the unit is absolutely able to be safely operated without the blower.

Does the Real Fyre 36 inch Series IPI Control Direct Vent Gas Fireplace produce sufficient BTU to serve a room measuring 13 feet x 23 feet, with a cathedral ceiling height of 15 feet height?

Yes, at 32,000 BTU's that unit will more than heat that area.

I would recommend this item to a friend.
Plenty of heat!
Love the double burners! I would only buy a fireplace with a blower (which this has). I also steered away from ventless as I would never want the byproducts in my home.
If you do DIY projects around your house and fiddle with electrical, you can probably install this! Very easy directions to follow. Very helpful customer service helped me get the right chimney liner. We definitely need two people to run the liner.
My burn-in period was about 10 hours total (3 separate burns of 4, 4, 2hrs). Then, no smell! No smoke! It's perfect! We use it EVERY NIGHT. Sit by the instant cozy fire. Love it.

Lots of heat from this one!
Very straight forward directions. Love the double burners. Dimensions in the advertisement were spot on. This unit went into my personal house and I had a plumber run a gas line through my firebox ash shoot. Permitted and passed! Burner height was perfectly set from factory. No adjustments needed. Gas flame height adjustment goes from level one to level five. It puts out a lot of heat. The burn-in time does smell up the house for a little while but it goes away, hopefully. I live in a two-story with a run of 25 feet, and I don't have any off gassing at all from the direct vent.

- directions for logset placement were missing and I received 2x sets of directions for the flu liner instead.

Great product, easy install, looks terrific!
I purchased and installed the system a couple of weeks ago, and so far I am impressed. Once the air intake and exhaust pipes were installed, the rest of the installation was a breeze.
