Customer Q&A with Product Specialists

Jackie S. from Vermont asked:
Does the True North TN20 B Series wood-burning stove have an ash pan?
Does the True North TN20 B Series wood-burning stove have an ash pan?
The True North TN20 B Series wood-burning stove does not include an ash pan or ash drawer. Ashes are to be removed directly from the firebox once the fire has completely burned down and the stove is cold. It is recommended to remove excess ash when it reaches approximately 3 to 4 inches deep, while maintaining a 1-inch ash bed on the firebox floor to help sustain a hot coal bed. Ashes should then be placed in a metal container with a tight-fitting lid for disposal. The complete steps for ash removal and disposal are detailed in the TN20 B Series owner manual. Should Have Upgraded Sooner

Purchased this stove as an upgrade to replace our smaller stove. We should have upgraded this sooner. The stove works great, and puts off a ton of heat for our home (2 story, 5 bed rooms). Looking forward to many cozy winters by the fireside.

Pros

Front loadable (straight in) makes adding wood a breeze.

Cons

Shipping was a bit of a hassle since we live in the mountains. We had to have it shipped to a local business (flooring store) and pick it up ourselves.
