Is there a manual for this starter kit? I purchased one and no manual on how to install came with it. For example, I need to know which way does the slip pipe install? Does it slip outside the stove's lip around the flue hole or is it suppose to go inside the lip of the flue hole welded on the stove? Which end of the slip pipe goes on the stove side? The one with the rolled double row lip, or the other flush side?

I would like to add a heat guard to the 90 at lease since it will sit minimal distance (9") from a non combustible wall. The wall is metal shielded. The box says in such a case that both the pipe must be shielded as well as the wall. Can I put a 7" or 8" stove pipe around the 6" Imperial and space it out with screws (not penetrating the 6" Imperial pipe) so the 6" Imperial is centered inside the 8"? Or do you have a better suggestion besides purchasing double wall metal-asbestos pipe?

My stove calls for 6" pipe. I purchased my stove from you. ( Drolet Rocket Extra Small Wood Burning Stove - DB03185 )

    Answer:
Larger 8 inch piping can indeed be used in conjunction with spacers and set screws to reduce the clearances to a combustible wall.

The stove piping is designed to fit inside the flue collar of the stove, rather than outside. This prevents any creosote or condensation from dripping upon the top of the stove surface.

The flush end of the stove pipe is designed to be installed downward and slides into the rigid section of pipe below it, with the rolled edge attaching to your ceiling support box or wall thimble.
