The quiet variable-speed blower circulates heat through your space, and the included remote gives you control of your experience without ever having to leave the comfort of your seat. This remote's smart thermostat function even allows you to set a specific temperature to which your fire will automatically adjust as time passes. Empire's unique Slope Glaze burner provides all the brilliance and efficiency of other Tahoe Premium models, and the realistic gas logs and glowing coal bed serve as the cherry on top!
Venting Requirements: This item requires a chimney with 5" inner diameter.

Please Note: This item must be installed by a licensed professional in order for the manufacturer's warranty to be valid.
Also Note: Fireplace is pictured with optional aged brick ceramic fiber liner. This liner is available for purchase through configurations or separately, but the base fireplace unit does not include a fireplace liner.
Also Note: This unit is approved for mobile home installation where not prohibited by local codes.

How much does this unit weigh? Does it need to have some kind of additional support when it is installed? Also, can it be vented out the back?
This fireplace weighs in at 157 pounds and can be installed directly on the foundation, or upon a fabricated hearth. This model can be vented from the rear using Empire's DVVK-5F Flexible Through-Wall Horizontal Direct Vent Kit.

This unit has tempered glass. The flame height is indeed adjustable, as the included remote control operates everything - flame height, blower speed, on/off, and the thermostat. There are two rows of flames, but they are not interdependent and must both be on or off. No, the unit does not have a modulating valve, so the fireplace will simply turn on or off at the setting where you have it at the time the temperature is met or not met. Finally, the glass viewing area of this unit is approximately 43" wide and 22" high.
