Would this fireplace be recommended for a bathroom?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on November 18, 2011
Answer:Vent free fireplaces, even low BTU models like this one, are not suitable for a bathroom installation.
It would be necessary to use a direct vent gas fireplace that has been rated for use in a bathroom. We have several models that meet this criteria that I will be happy to recommend, if a vented installation is a realistic option.

Do you have gas logs that meet the following requirements:
2. 10,000 BTU or less (for use in a bedroom)
3. Fits in an existing cast iron coal burner firebox that is 24" wide at the front and 22" wide at the back, 10.5" depth, and with height not an issue
Is a remote control available for it?
By Collin C. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on October 30, 2012
The best item we have to suit your needs would be the Peterson Valley Oak
log set. This particular version has a lower BTU output that is suitable for bedrooms and would fit your space requirements. It can also be controlled via a remote or wall switch.

I currently have an electric fireplace set against an outside wall. It is a beautiful unit but it doesn't put out the heat required. Can I place this unit up against the existing drywall wall and bring in the gas line from behind the unit? What is required for a surround for this fireplace?
By eFireplaceStore on February 24, 2015
Answer:This unit can indeed be placed directly against a finished wall and fueled from a gas line from behind or beneath the unit. The unit must be framed into a 2x4 or 2x6 enclosure. Finishing options are completely up to you, but most customers will choose to have a unit enclosed into a custom made wooden cabinet or drywall enclosure.

This unit has perfect specs for what I am looking for but I want a 3 sided unit. Ideally it would be of the same or similar dimensions. (2 sides long, third side short) Do you have such a thing?
