Is this adapter compatible with the Napoleon GDS26 Castlemore gas stove? I have a DuraVent W15-0053 adapter that was supposed to fit but will not fit inside the 7 inch collar. They are so close to the same size that is it not possible to slide it in.

Answer:Per the manufacturer, this is indeed the proper adapter for use with the GDS-26. The taper of the adapter is steeper and specifically designed to mate the Duravent GS pipe to Napoleon gas appliances.

I am installing a Napoleon GDS-60 fireplace with a B Vent Converter. Can you tell me what I would use to make the connection to the 4 inch stainless pipe inside my existing chimney? The opening to my chimney is 8" . Do I use the Direct Vent Pipe adapter or a regular B Vent pipe that is 4" inner diameter and 6 5/8" outer diameter?

This direct vent pipe adapter is actually intended to mount directly to the stove and is for adapting Simpson direct vent pipe immediately off of the stove. If connecting the B-vent pipe to an liner within your chimney, a pipe coupler would be needed. A product such as the Selkirk Flexi-Liner Flex Coupler for 4 inch Pipe
can work. You will need to fasten it to the B-vent piping and clamp it to the flexible vent.

I am wondering how to install this adapter, since it is the same width as the collar on the Napoleon gas stove pipe size. How can I fit it over the pipe coming out of the stove? Any suggestions?

Answer:This adapter should have a slight taper that will allow it to size down to the slightly smaller Duravent piping. The adapter should fit directly onto the flue outlet of the stove with the "flow" arrow pointing upwards. Often times, it will require a fair amount of force to get the adapter to fully seat.
