I am preparing to install a Real Fyre 24" Charred Oak Vented Natural Gas Logs Set - Match Light but I have a question that I am hoping that you can provide assistance. The gas supply hub in my fireplace is current used as a fire starter. It rises from the floor of the fire box instead of the side. Can I run an extension to the side of the burner pan so the connector kit reaches? The hub sits back far enough that it will not get in the way of the burner pan.
By Chris C. on January 21, 2016
Answer:As long as the gas supply stub does not interfere with placement of the burner pan itself, you would indeed be able to run either a flexible supply line, or continue to run the rigid iron pipe to the side of the fireplace first, then install your flex line to connect to the burner pan.

Would this Real Fyre 24" Charred Oak gas log set work in an existing fireplace that measures 27 1/4" rear width, 36" front width, and 24" in depth? I would like something that fills the space nicely and looks great.

Will this log set work with a Stoll 24"W x 20"D grate heater for vented gas logs?
By eFireplaceStore on December 2, 2014
Answer:It will. However, a couple of notes about the installation should be made. You will need to elevate the rear legs of the grate heater to their tallest position in order for the Real Fyre burner to clear the grate heater. Also, the grate portion of the heater is fairly shallow, making the front and rear logs in the Real Fyre set very close to one another. This slight compromise in spacing is necessary in order for the grate heater to fit into the fireplace properly.

I'm interested in having gas logs installed in our wood burning fireplace that has a gas starter. The hearth is 341/2" X 24 1/2" X 14 1/2" (deep).

My local fireplace shop tells me that a 30" log set will be fine for my fireplace, based on the dimensions. However, when I enter my fireplace dimensions into your log finder, the largest set that it shows is a 24" set. This is for an outdoor fireplace, so I am looking for the maximum size set that fits the fireplace safely. Can you please advise on whether the 30" set will fit? My fireplace dimensions are: front 36", depth 19", and back 30".
Also, I would like to know if the G45 Triple T burner, which is included in your sets, is made of stainless steel.

Our gas log calculator evaluates middle width of your firebox when making a size recommendation. The rule set for a match light log set requires a middle width 4" larger than the set size. Your fireplace has a working width of 33".
As our calculator is set to pair a 30" set with only fireplaces with 34" middle widths or larger, the above 24" set was recommended. However, in your case, due to the extra depth in your box, I'd agree with your local shop and say that a 30" would be just fine.
Our standard sets, such as this one, do not include the stainless steel G45 burners. For that, you'll want to check out the Real Fyre 24" Charred Oak Outdoor Natural Gas Logs Set - Match Light

My fireplace is about 36 inches wide at the front but it tapers down to only 22 inches wide in the back and approximately 24 inches deep. Would this Real Fyre 24 inch Charred Oak vented natural gas logs set fit my fireplace?
By Will M. on September 1, 2015
Answer:Your middle width is 29" and this log set requires a minimum of 28" and a depth of only 14". As such, this would be safe to install.
