Why is this a "bedroom-approved" stove?
1 Answer
With wood stoves, most models are approved for bedroom use with few exceptions. For the most part, as long as a manufacturer does not specify the stove cannot be used in a bedroom, it is indeed bedroom-approved. This is the case for most models because of the relatively small amounts of air used for combustion during the burning process.

Can you cook on the stove top? Is the glass under warranty? Is the fan quiet? Is this stove safe for use with a standard HVAC system?
1 Answer
The stove top can indeed be cooked upon. It is recommended to use a thin cast iron griddle between the stove top and the cookware in order to minimize the chance of marring the stove surface from repeated contact.
The glass carries a 1 year warranty against thermal breakage. The fan uses neoprene bearings, making it fairly quiet. It will be audible when operating, but the sound level is not intrusive.
This stove can be operated in conjunction with a standard HVAC system, although it cannot be tied into the system.

What does "limited lifetime warranty" mean? What is included, and even more importantly, what is not included in the warranty?
1 Answer
The lifetime warranty pertains to any manufacturing defects in the body of the stove. Any of the following issues that occur and are deemed not to be the fault of the user would be repaired or replaced:
Cracked welds
Cracker or split plates
Warped stove body
Excessive corrosion
Wearable parts are covered by a lesser warranty. The combustion chamber is warranted for 25 years, while the air tubes are warranted for 5 years. Other wearable parts such as firebrick and baffles are warranted by a 1 year warranty. In a stove that is burned regularly, you can expect to replace the baffles every 3 to 5 years and the brick every 5 to 8 years.
