Illuminating lights shine up from beneath the Superior translucent green pebble bed, highlighting the beauty of the flames to an amazing degree.
The optional conversion kit (sold separately) transforms the Superior from single-sided to see-thru, making the visual presentation even more beautiful.
Please Note: The optional conversion kit FSD-LVOST is required to reconfigure this fireplace from single-sided to see-thru presentations. Please see Accessories tab below to purchase the conversion kit (sold separately.)
Also Note: This model is a direct replacement to the previously available FMI Berlin Lights 44" Linear Vent-Free Outdoor Fireplace LVFO43NE.

Is it possible to install this unit in my open concept living space?
This particular unit is rated for outdoor use only. The reason is because this model does not use a pilot light to heat a thermocouple or flame rod. It only has a spark ignitor and if the main burner flame extinguishes, gas could build up in the home. The indoor version of the same unit is the Superior 43" Linear Vent Free Fireplace - VRL4543ZE. The only difference is that fact that this model has the pilot light for indoor safety and it is manufactured from black galvanized steel, rather than stainless steel.
