I want to replace a propane non-vented burner with a natural gas non-vented burner, but don't see any non-vented natural's listed. Originally all I wanted to do was put in the larger jets and weaker regulator spring - conversion kit, but getting a dozen different stories from "Against the Law", "Don't have them in stock", "new burner will be here next week" etc. What can you tell me?

Answer:Vent free burners are designed and certified for the fuel they are originally orificed for at the factory. Because a conversion kit would void this certification, the manufacturers do not offer them.
In order to change to a different fuel, a completely new burner system would be needed. Do you know the manufacturer name and model of your log set? Please advise at your convenience.

Is there a faux coal burner available that is designed to use L/P gas? We have fully functional crock flue lined fireplace chimneys and also have period cast iron coal baskets. Basket Inside diameters are 15" at front 9-1/2" deep and 13" at the back.

Based on your dimensions and description, I believe this Coal Burner
will work just fine for you.
