No, these panels cannot be cut or altered. If you have a manufactured woodburning fireplace, we recommend the Hargrove replacement refractory panels, which are about one-inch thick and can be cut to the sizes needed.

This is designed specifically for Superior Value Series Fireboxes and comes sized for those units. For a universal replacement refractory panel we have these panels from Hargrove that can be cut to size.

These panels are made for specific Superior gas fireplaces and fireboxes and may not be used with any other product, especially wood fireplaces where the use of a decorative ceramic fiber panel kit would be dangerous. That being said, these panels are held in place with clips atop each panel when installed with these Superior gas fireplaces and fireboxes.

Since the gas line may be brought in from the left or right-hand side of the corresponding ventless gas firebox these panels are made for use with, these knockouts are where the rigid gas supply would normally enter into the firebox.

We have an older Rais Gabo gas burning fireplace stove. The rear refractory panel has warped and needs to be replaced. It measures 15" wide, 13-3/4" tall and 3/16" thick. Do you have any material that would work for this?

Installing these panels into a wood fireplace would be quite dangerous as these panels are purely decorative and wouldn't withstand the heat produced from wood burning. We do offer the universal Hargrove Replacement Fireplace Refractory Panel - 24 inch X 28 inch and Hargrove Replacement Fireplace Refractory Panels - 24 inch X 40 inch - Set of 2 for wood-burning fireplaces. These panels may be cut to fit using a circular saw and masonry blade and are safe to use with most prefabricated wood-burning fireplaces.

Great replacement but cannot cut to size
This product was a great quick replacement for some fireplaces in my apartment complex that I manage, however I would like to be able to cut the pieces down to an exact fit for my units.
Very durable product and very easy to install.
Manufacture suggest not cutting the product.
