No, these panels are only suitable for use within certain Empire direct vent gas fireplaces.

Can you paint these a different color with high heat paint?

When installed properly into the Empire 36" Studio Luxury Direct Vent fireplace, these panels could most certainly be painted with any 1200 degree stove, grill or firebox paint. We offer these products here.

This is indeed a 3 panel assembly. Please keep in mind that this liner system is designed only to fit the 36 inch Studio Luxury fireplace.
