I have a DFX24C fireplace in a corner cabinet in our master bedroom. Are the fire bricks required for installation? If they are, why didn't the fireplace come with them like my 36" fireplace in our family room? We passed all of our building inspections without the bricks and I wasn't sure if they were mandatory or not.

The liner for this model is purely optional and is not required to operate the unit. Some fireplaces will use a liner as standard, but manufacturers are increasingly offering liners as an option only.

Can you burn wood with this product?
    1 Answers
Unfortunately, no. These panels are made of lightweight ceramic fiber wafer board and can only be exposed to the heat of a gas fireplace. Using them in a wood burning unit will cause them to deteriorate rapidly.

The brackets we received with the fireplace don't fit with these ceramic Fiber Firebrick. How do I install them?
    1 Answers
The "Z" shaped brackets that should come with the firebrick are designed to be mounted at the top edge of the side ceramic panels. The brackets will clip over the top edge, then must be screwed into the metal sides of the firebox itself.
