How thick is the trim from the outside edge to the inside edge of this frame?

Per the manufacturer, this kit is 2 1/4 inches in thickness, allowing approximately 1 1/8 of an inch of overlap between the face of the unit and the adjacent wall material.

The manufacturer does not provide the full dimensions for this trim kit because they are made to attach to select 36" Empire gas fireplaces only.
