What is the dimension of the unit with the frame installed? There will be a gap when I install my new unit and I need to know if this will cover the gap

The dimensions for this frame are no wider than the actual fireplace as this piece simply replaces the standard black fame that is shipped with the unit.

I would like to know if this face plate works for my gas fireplace 25" high x 26 1/2" width opening?

This faceplate is for that specific 26" Vail fireplace and we cannot guarantee it would fit for any other unit. Exact measurements are not given for the front.

Will this frame fit over the existing frame? How difficult is it to install this item once the fireplace is installed?
1 Answer
The original frame must be removed to install this accessory. If the perimeter trim has been left free of surrounding material, it is fairly simple to remove the current trim and install the new one.
