Can this be used with natural gas vented logs in a wood burning fireplace?
1 Answer
The original 1" thick refractory panels in a wood fireplace should not be swapped out for decorative panels that provide no heat protection, even if the plan is to install gas logs. A requirement for installing any vented gas log set into a prefabricated wood fireplace is that the fireplace must remain fully-functional as a wood burning fireplace.
