Can I use this trim kit with the 20" Afire Water Fireplace?

No, this trim kit is not suitable for use with your unit. It should only be used with the Dimplex DFI2309 and DFI2310.

How does it attach to rough brick?

This trim is made to attach to the Dimplex inserts (DFI2309 and DFI2310) directly, they do not attach to brick, but rather would be pushed back onto the brick (which of course would need to be even).

Wonderful addition to the master bedroom
We installed this fireplace in our master bedroom after seeing my Interior Designer sister-in- law's living room fireplace unit at Christmas. It is a solution to not being able to install gas and not wanting to play boy scout everytime we want a cozy atmosphere for an evening.
It's awesome! We just press the remote and if it's cold, we start the heater!
The optional trim kit sealed the deal.

Adorably pleased.
Before I bought the product, I did a lot of research online, and found out that my cousin had bought one. Right after I purchased one for my condo. It was installed directly into my condo a couple of days after purchasing it and I began to love it. It heats my room jsut enough with the realistic flame that adds attraction to it. Even my cat could not resist the enough warm given by the fireplace. I have given a great recommendation for this product.

Awesome product!
I liked the cuteness of this little flame stove since it five you a realistic looking fire. The size is just enough for me. The delivery service was not a problem, but the only thing is the bulb inside got fused probably due to a the long distance travel from the factory to our house. But luckily my husband was able to repair it and everything was great after it.
