Can this liner be trimmed to fit a non-Empire wood-burning fireplace?
This liner is made specifically for the 42-inch Empire Breckenridge Premium Firebox and cannot be cut down for use in a different fireplace. Ceramic fiber liner kits are not designed to be cut to size and typically crumble at the cut edges. For a non-Empire wood-burning fireplace, we recommend using a liner made for that specific fireplace model. If you provide the manufacturer and model number of your fireplace, we can check which liner options are available. If you don't have this information and the factory panels are approximately 1 inch thick, we recommend these cut-to-fit panels.
