How is this item installed? I have purchased this item and am trying to install it, but it does not seem to fit. Do I need to take something out of the fireplace to install?

These panels are compatible with the 60" Empire Boulevard Vent Free Fireplace. They will not work with any other fireplace. The panels will come with detailed instructions for installation. You will need to remove the burner pan to install the panels.
