Why can't this panel be cut? I have cut one before with a masonry blade.
The Monessen Hearth Brick for SR42A Fireplaces is a pre-sized replacement hearth panel specifically designed for the Majestic SR42A. The manufacturer does not provide guidance approving the cutting or trimming of this particular panel. We do offer aftermarket universal panels that are designed to be cut-to-fit on-site, which you can find here: .

No, these panels cannot be cut. We offer 1" thick cut-to-fit panels that can be purchased here.
