Customer Q&A with Product Specialists
Mike S.
from PA asked:
Can this refractory back be cut? I have a Majestic Heatalator Back Refractory #SRV4044-222 but the size is 26x20.
The Monessen 36 Inch Gray Refractory Back is designed for use with Royalton BE36 fireplaces. While the product description does not specify if it can be cut, refractory bricks are generally not designed to be cut and doing so could compromise their integrity and performance. If you are certain your fireplace requires part number SRV4044-222 and is a Majestic Royalton BE36 model, this refractory back should be an exact fit.
