Where is the thermometer located that tells the fan to go on?

This system does not have a fan as part of the assembly. Instead, it passively vents heat that is collected from the fireplace chassis to the room. However, when the unit is equipped with a circulating fan, some of the circulating air that is pushed into the immediate area will also makes its way to the gravity vent system. The fan within the unit will be controlled by a thermostatic switch and will have a variable speed rheostat, allowing you to manually turn down fan speed.
