How do I connect pipe to this support box?

Just outside the large hole in the center of the round boot will be a narrow ridge that runs around the perimeter of the hole. When using single wall stovepipe, the end of the slip connector or telescoping pipe will push into that ridge. If using the Simpson DVL double walled stovepipe, a chimney adaptor must be used to make the connection. The 8 inch version is the DuraVent DVL Stovepipe/Chimney Pipe Adaptor With Trim - 8".

I am going to replace an old dura vent chimney that is corroding. It is 30 years old. It is 8" triple wall with a 14.25" square ceiling box on a cathedral ceiling and approx. 12 ' of chimney pipe to a 12/12 roof. I was wondering what the difference is between dura tech and dura plus chimney sections.

Quite simply, the difference between DuraTech and DuraPlus is that DuraTech is a double-wall pipe and DuraPlus is a triple-wall pipe.
