    Is there a larger faceplate?
    1 Answer
The only faceplate available for the 1500-I is the one that comes standard with the unit. You would have to have an additional trim custom-made locally to cover any additional gap.

    Is the blower loud?
    3 Answers
This blower can indeed  get quite high in volume when turned up all the way up for maximum speed.
Submitted by: Tyler M. - NFI Master Hearth Professional on February 2, 2021
Depends on how high you set it. On the higher speed it is kinda loud. I keep mine on low most of the time and barely hear it. And it keeps my living room nice and comfortable.
Submitted by: Jesse on February 4, 2021 from Granby, CT
If you have it up all the way, it sounds the same as a fan would. It dont make any other noise other then that.

Unfortunately, the fan will not operate on battery power.  However, it will heat an area of 500-1,800 square feet without the blower, depending on multiple factors of how the home is designed.

A woodburning insert such as this Drolet Escape 1500 model requires a stainless steel chimney liner, not a black stovepipe.

    Nice insert for the money
I use this insert in my living room. I installed it myself and it was rather straight forward. It heats and keeps a fire very well.

    Great wood stove
The stove heats my home well. wish the firebox was a little wider. I have to cut some of my wood that's over 18 inches long. The auto blower and damper works well. With hard dry wood, I get a 5 to 6 hour burn. great view from the door window.
fire box could be wider. blower output could be stronger

    Review of 1500
The stove works very well, heats my house very well, and I'm very happy with it. I'm no boy scout but the dryer the wood the better.
Great stove insert. Haven't found a con yet.

Exactly what they claim it will be
This wood stove is made of very good material and heats our house very well, approx, 1800 square feet. As far as cons go, just one, the firebox could stand to have a bit more depth added to it, but as far as width goes it will hold an 18 inch log. And it beats my old stove hands down.
Company will stand behind this product 100% Firebox could be a bit more deeper.
