While possible to cut, this surround is not designed for that purpose and therefore you may not be satisfied with the resulting look of the perimeter.

Long time user
I've had this stove for 10 years. It is durable. I take care of it. Blower motor still original. I put a light coat of flat heat paint on it recently. Looks new. Glass cleans easily if you routinely clean it with ammonia and a rag. The stove is in the finished basement of a 1800 sf home. (Basement and 1st floor 900 sf). I live in Indiana so I get some cold months. I'm happy. Don't have any comparison. The baffels for the stove are expensive. These lay in the top and keep the fire from going up the liner. I replace yearly.
